i have undergone several medical procedures in my life... blood extractions, urinalysis, 2 breast mass excision, ultrasound, numerous bone x-rays (thanks to badminton :p) and recently... videocolonoscopy! :-D (now, read first from the net what videocolonoscopy is...then, if you do not want to know my details, please stop reading :)) )
remember my side pains? i still have the occasional "kick" once in a while especially when i'm constipated so i was referred to a gastroenterologist for a check-up... and as a result... "let's take a look inside your butt" :p
the actual colonoscopy was OK... because i was really sedated :)) but the preparation before the procedure was really the worst... torture... our cr was my 2nd room last night from 8pm to 1am... 1 100ml bottle of phospo-soda (laxative) + a glass of water every 20mins.. i was like a water bag ready to burst every 30mins huhuhu... take note: i was really, really hungry, i can only drink liquids T_T
then morning came... ice cream for breakfast (as in, the doctor really wrote this down to my torture list, este, pre-colonoscopy procedure) then at 9am 1/2 bottle of ginger-lemon flavored laxative (bleck!) and liquids, liquids and more liquids...
at 10:30am, off we went to uste endocopy unit... had a separate test for thyroid (my blood extraction for the nth time)... then around 11:30am, the resident doctor started prepping me for the colonoscopy, he started pricking my left hand for the IV (w/c is my first in 27 years huhu) then told me to wear the patients gown and take off my pants and undies :p
as i lay down to the table, i saw the black, not so thin endoscope :-SS then the nurse started injecting some meds to my IV... then my doctor entered the room and started to talk to me that everything will be OK :-) then the last thing i heard from him was... "full dosage mo ha, bata pa ksi", referring to the sedative that the nurse will administer. then... dedz na ko...zzzz.... hihihi... at some point when i was really grogy, i felt some pain and the nurse talked to me if i'm in pain, but i can only mumble then the next thing i knew, i'm laying flat on my back hihi... she must have increased the dosage of sedative hehe :p
the actual procedure lasted for about 30mins... but i was inside the room for about an hour... they let me rest until the sedation wears off. i went to my doctor's clinic for the results and thankfully, they are all OK... no mass, no polyps and no ulcers :-D yay! so what abt my side pain? hmmm... he told me it may be really my muscles acting up.. he adviced me to eat more veggies and exercise more hihihi :p
as i got home... only one thing in my mind.....beeeeedddd..... zzzzzzzz... hihihi......
