warning: a slightly morbid post (but i think it's... funny :-P)
the story happened last month, when i was in manila with my family since ate passed away (may she rest in peace). my japanese bosses were kind enough to let me extend my stay (i was actually taking my summer break). our cousins told us to accompany our parents wherever they go - "bantayan sila baka ksi sumunod sa ate nyo" freaky huh? well, that's not the morbid part of my story hehehe... of course, they were still mourning that time.
so anyway, one day nanay decided to do her avon stuff with her clients in my former grade school (where she was a teacher also but i never had the chance to be her pupil, buti na lang! hehe) kuya asked me if i can go with her. i agreed and i thought it would be nice to see my former school and teachers. but there was a slight misunderstanding of the schedule so as a result, kuya went with nanay.
when they came back, kuya told us (me and tatay) a "funny" story about their (he and nanay) conversation with one of the teachers:
teacher: "uy! andito pala ang anak mo"
nanay: "oo umuwi siya galing U.S."
teacher: "bakasyon?"
nanay: "ah hindi namatay ksi ung kapatid nya, ung isa kong anak."
teacher: "ha? sino? SI GLORi3CAR???"
kuya: (silently laughing)
i laughed - that was my initial reaction. but as it sinks in... whoa... she thought i was dead?!!? but i'm still young!!! :-SS
i paused for a while.... (imagine kuya was still laughing and nanay kept on calling him "siraulo!")
then i told nanay, "wow! kilala pa nila ko!"
